THE STORY OF THE FICCOs

Matt originally from the US and Sandra originally from India, are truly a case of East meets West! They met for the first time in Venezuela in 2003 and from that point life has been one great journey after another. Matt was living in San Diego, California at the time and Sandra in Atlanta, Georgia. The long distance relationship was not going to last long so after spending eight years bouncing back and forth between San Diego and Steamboat Springs, Colorado Matt decided to head back east to be with Sandra and embark on his professional career. After a romantic proposal on top of Paris’ Tour Eiffel, Matt and Sandra married quietly, yet romantically, on a beach in Florianopolis, Brazil in 2005. By mid-2006 Sienna joined the family in Atlanta creating the family trio. In late 2007 the trio headed off to the Middle East and have been living in the United Arab Emirates ever since; the first two years in Abu Dhabi and the rest in Dubai. In late 2008 Sienna, Sandra, and Matt welcomed the fourth trooper to the family. Meila was born in Dubai in November 2008, just three days before Matt’s birthday. Today, many years on from first moving to the Middle East, the Ficcos call Dubai home and have taken advantage of every opportunity to explore its beauty and natural environment as well as that of many destinations surrounding the Middle Eastern and Asian regions. In 2015 Raider, a pure-bred, black lab puppy joined the family and has added sparks and joy to every adventure thus far. There is no slowing down in the foreseeable future and hopefully some of their adventures will entertain and inspire you. With the Ficcos life is…Always an Adventure!
